i need to get fit for sport help me out?
im 6 ‘. 220 lb and well thats just a little bit much as i used to be 195 or there abouts.
i am looking to get back into playing rugby and need to get rid of most of my keg and build muscle for it, not riped but enough to be able to keep going.
any help would be great
well ya that is true rugby players do drink alot of beer or it could just be me and my friends but i have taken beer of the list when out and turned to vodka as it is a fair bit lower in the calorie count then most beers. but apart from that the porblem i seem to be having is my diet has the right level of calories to suit my current lifestyle as i havent gainned or lost any weight in the last few months, should i reduce my calorie intact again or just become more active then i already am? also i already eat fairly well as i dont snack on sweets and that sort of thing and if i do i am eating fruit or nuts.
No one really likes to hear it, but the key to weight loss is calorie reduction. Doesn’t mean you have to go hungry– not AT ALL, just means you have to make better choices. We are surrounded by so many good tasting but high calorie foods [I'm a frito's addict] that we have to learn when to put the fork down.
Burn 500 more calories a day than you eat, and you’ll loose a pound a week, which mounts up faster than you think. You can have a big salad with fat free dressing [try mixing in a big spoonful of salsa for more flavor] and a slice of fat free turkey breast or ham for less than 150 calories, and it’s a meal in itself. If you drink milk, switch to a lower fat version. If you drink beer [don't all rugby players?;-)] go with a light.
Couple a few simple changes like that with an hour a day of exercise– probably alternating weights and cardio, for rugby– and you’ll be back in shape in no time.
